The results of the US Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) will be announced. The zero interest rate policy is expected to end after the pandemic, and a 0.25% interest rate hike is almost certain. After that, a press conference by FRB Chairman Powell will be held from 3:30.
Attention is the future statement, the Fed’s stance toward the future at the press conference, and the economic outlook (SEP) by FOMC members. In particular, a dot plot showing the outlook for the policy interest rate level at the end of the year for each participating member shown in the SEP. When it is shown that additional interest rate hikes will continue aggressively in the future, the dollar will be bought.
It will be midnight Japan time, but it is assumed that the USD will shake again with this opportunity. If it goes up, it may grow to around 120 yen, and if it goes down, I would like to go buy a squeeze.
