Turn a busy chart into a sequence of questions
SMC Intraday Assistant combines confirmed structure, sweeps, an active Fibonacci zone and two higher-timeframe EMA filters. Separate buy and sell scores help you inspect condition overlap before making your own trading decision.
Confirmed swings, BOS and CHoCH.
Wicks beyond swings with a close back inside.
The active impulse’s Fibonacci zone.
Two higher-timeframe EMA directions.
These describe the indicator’s analysis modules, not current market readings. The tool supports manual analysis and does not place or manage orders.
How to read the chart
| Display | Meaning |
|---|---|
| BOS | A closing-price break of a confirmed swing in the existing structure direction. The first direction-setting break is also labeled BOS. |
| CHoCH | A closing-price break against the previous structure direction. |
| Low / high sweep | A wick beyond a confirmed swing low / high, followed by a close back inside that level. |
| Fib 50.0% / 78.6% | The default retracement area of the latest active impulse. |
| Green / red arrow | A qualified closed-bar buy / sell setup. |
| Dashboard | Latest closed-bar structure, higher-timeframe directions, scores, Fibonacci prices and setup status. |
Understand confirmation and timing
Confirmed swings introduce a delay
With the default swing strength of 3, a candidate must be strictly higher or lower than three bars on each side. It becomes available only after the three later bars close. Signals are not backdated to the original swing candidate, and equal-price plateaus are not accepted as swings.
Breaks and sweeps use an ATR-based margin
A break requires a close beyond the confirmed swing by more than 0.05 ATR by default. A sweep requires a wick beyond the swing by more than 0.05 ATR, followed by a close back inside. Each swing can produce one break and one sweep. These thresholds use the chart timeframe’s ATR.
The Fibonacci zone follows the active impulse
A bullish break anchors the impulse from a confirmed swing low to the break bar’s high; a bearish break uses a confirmed swing high and the break bar’s low. The impulse end extends with subsequent highs or lows. A close beyond the origin invalidates the zone. Only the latest active zone is drawn, and the zone may move as the impulse develops.
Higher-timeframe direction uses EMA confirmation
By default, H1 and H4 use EMA21/55. UP requires the fast EMA above the slow EMA, a rising fast EMA and the close above the slow EMA. DOWN uses the opposite conditions. Other combinations are NEUTRAL. This is higher-timeframe EMA filtering, not higher-timeframe SMC structure detection.
Closed-bar analysis: signals use confirmed chart bars and higher-timeframe candles already closed at the decision time. The unfinished bar has no signal or score output. History corrections, added history, changed inputs and the moving calculation boundary can change historical results; complete historical immutability is not promised.
A transparent score, not a win probability
Buy and sell scores are calculated separately, from 0 to 10. Each score adds the conditions that agree with its direction.
| Condition | Points |
|---|---|
| Structure agrees | 2 |
| Recent same-direction BOS/CHoCH remains valid | 2 |
| Recent directional liquidity sweep remains valid | 2 |
| Close is inside the same-direction Fibonacci zone | 2 |
| Higher timeframe 1 agrees | 1 |
| Higher timeframe 2 agrees | 1 |
A score of 8 does not mean an 80% win rate. The score measures condition overlap. It has not been calibrated as winning probability or expected profit.
A score alone does not create an arrow. A qualifying setup must agree with structure, exceed the opposite score, meet the threshold and pass the cooldown. By default, both higher timeframes must agree. The current closed bar also needs a new same-direction break, a new directional sweep, or a directionally matching candle closing inside the Fibonacci zone.
At the default threshold of 6, structure plus a break and both higher timeframes can qualify without a sweep or Fibonacci retracement. The default cooldown suppresses the following five bars; the next opportunity is the sixth bar after the previous arrow.
Choose valid chart and higher timeframes
The supplied presets are intended as starting examples for M5 or M15 charts with H1/H4 confirmation. Both selected higher timeframes must be longer than the chart timeframe and different from each other.
For an H1 chart, select longer timeframes such as H4 and D1. Invalid timeframe selections can prevent initialization. Unlike an automatic timeframe-adjustment tool, this indicator requires you to choose valid higher timeframes in Inputs.

Two presets for comparison
- SMC_Balanced_M5_M15.set: swing strength 3, score threshold 6, event memory 8 and cooldown 5.
- SMC_Selective_M5_M15.set: swing strength 4, score threshold 8, event memory 12 and cooldown 8.
Both use H1/H4 confirmation with notifications disabled. They are configuration examples, not performance-tested recommendations or validated profitable strategies.

Our preferred route: HFM
HFM is Forex Top Team’s primary recommendation for eligible users. Other brokers listed on our guide may also qualify. Confirm your residency eligibility, MT5 availability and the chosen broker’s referral requirements before registering.

- Send your activation request. Include SMC Intraday Assistant, your MT5 trading account number, broker, exact MT5 server name and delivery email. Do not send passwords.
- Receive your personal EX5. After eligibility is verified, we compile and send your account-specific file with an English user guide and the supplied presets.

Suggested subject: SMC Intraday Assistant — Account Activation
Use your MT5 trading login, not your broker profile ID or MQL5 community ID. Activation is issued manually; the local account lock does not automatically verify referral attribution. The approved login is embedded in the compiled file and cannot be changed through Inputs or presets. A different account requires a separately issued copy.
Installation and first use
- Log in to your approved MT5 account.
- Select File → Open Data Folder.
- Copy SMC_Intraday_Assistant.ex5 into MQL5 → Indicators.
- Refresh Indicators in Navigator, then attach the indicator to an M5 or M15 chart.
- Read the English guide, review your higher-timeframe selections and load a supplied preset if desired.
Allow history to load for both the chart and selected higher timeframes. Configure push and email under Tools → Options before enabling those inputs. Notifications apply to new latest closed-bar signals; historical signals present at attachment do not trigger alerts.
This independent MT5 indicator supports manual analysis. It does not open, modify or close orders. This version does not include order-block detection, fair-value-gap detection, session or spread filters, or automatic stop/target management.
Frequently asked questions
Is HFM required?
No. An eligible MT5 account opened through any referral route listed on our broker guide may qualify. HFM is our preferred option.
Does a score of 8 mean an 80% chance of winning?
No. The score measures overlapping conditions and is not a calibrated probability or verified win rate.
Is every marked sweep a trading signal?
No. A sweep is context. An arrow also depends on structure, score, current-bar conditions, timeframe agreement and cooldown.
Why does the Fibonacci zone move?
The latest active impulse can extend with new highs or lows. The zone follows that impulse and can be invalidated by a close beyond its origin.
Why does the dashboard show WAIT?
No new arrow qualified on the latest closed bar. WAIT is not an instruction to close an existing position.
Can I use H1/H4 filters on an H1 chart?
No. Both filters must be above the chart timeframe. For an H1 chart, select longer distinct timeframes, such as H4 and D1.
Can I use my file on another account?
No. Request another account-specific file after that account’s eligibility is confirmed. Changing settings or presets does not change the approved login.
Does it guarantee profitable trades?
No. Signals can fail. No verified profitability or win-rate claim is made. Compilation checks do not establish live chart behavior, successful account authorization or trading performance.
Trading risk: Forex and CFD trading can produce substantial losses. This indicator is a decision-support tool, not a profit guarantee. You remain responsible for entries, position sizing, stops, exits and account monitoring. Review the broker’s terms and your own risk limits before trading.
