Choose the lens for your analysis

Different chart situations call for different questions. Smart Trend Toolkit lets you enable its engines independently, starting with one approach or comparing several on the same chart.

Scalping

EMA crosses with RSI and candle-direction confirmation.

Trend

Pullbacks within an aligned trend, followed by confirmation beyond the previous candle.

Reversal

RSI recovery from an extreme near a historical support or resistance area.

Volume

Breakouts with elevated volume and aligned moving averages.

How the four engines qualify a signal

All engines require a bullish candle for a buy and a bearish candle for a sell. The default minimum candle body is 0.10 ATR. The periods and thresholds below are configurable.

Scalping: inspect an EMA cross

A buy requires EMA9 crossing above EMA21 with RSI above 50. A sell requires EMA9 crossing below EMA21 with RSI below 50. Candle direction and the body-size condition also apply.

Trend: inspect a confirmed pullback

A buy requires EMA9 above EMA21 and the close above a rising EMA100. The candle touches EMA9, then closes above it and above the previous candle’s high, with RSI at least 50 and below 70. Sell conditions are mirrored, with RSI above 30 and at most 50.

Reversal: inspect recovery near a price zone

A buy requires RSI moving from 30 or below to above 30 near historical support, with the close above support. A sell requires RSI moving from 70 or above to below 70 near historical resistance, with the close below resistance. Historical levels use the 50 candles preceding the signal candle, with an ATR-based tolerance.

Volume: inspect participation in a breakout

Volume must reach at least 1.5 times the preceding 20 candles’ average. A buy then requires a close above the preceding 10 candles’ highest high with EMA9 above EMA21. Sell conditions are mirrored.

Volume is a context measure. Tick volume is the default. Real volume can be requested when available throughout the comparison interval; otherwise the indicator consistently uses tick volume. Elevated volume does not guarantee a successful breakout.

Read the arrows, levels and panel together

Display Meaning
Green / red arrow A confirmed candle qualified for a buy / sell signal.
Blue / orange EMA line Fast EMA9 / slow EMA21, by default.
Support / resistance zones ATR-width areas around the lowest low / highest high of the latest 50 closed candles.
Previous-day levels The previous broker daily candle’s high and low.
Dashboard Closed-bar trend, enabled engines, RSI, volume ratio and the latest closed candle’s signal type.

When several engines agree on one candle, one arrow can represent the combined signal. Opposing buy and sell signals on the same candle are suppressed. Some engines can qualify on consecutive candles, so the toolkit is not limited to one signal per trend.

Closed-candle timing: arrows are evaluated on the first tick of the following candle and are displayed on the confirmed candle. No signal arrow is placed on the unfinished candle. Current EMA values continue updating with ticks. Input changes and corrected history can affect recalculation, and displayed zones follow their rolling calculation window.

Start with one engine, then compare

The supplied presets enable one engine each: Scalping.set, Trend.set, Reversal.set and Volume.set. Load a preset from the indicator’s Inputs tab to explore that approach on its own.

Without a preset, all four engines are enabled by default. Presets are starting examples, not optimized or validated trading strategies. They do not change your chart symbol, timeframe or account authorization.

Get your free account-specific copy

Choose any broker listed on our broker guide that offers an eligible MT5 account for your location through the listed referral route. HFM is our first choice, but it is not required.

Our preferred route: HFM

HFM is Forex Top Team’s primary recommendation for eligible users. Other brokers listed on our guide may also qualify. Confirm your residency eligibility, MT5 availability and the chosen broker’s referral requirements before registering.

Compare the listed brokers and referral routes →

  1. Open an eligible MT5 account. Use your chosen broker’s referral link or code from our guide. Existing clients should confirm additional-account referral attribution with the broker.
  2. Send your activation request. Include Smart Trend Toolkit, your MT5 trading account number, broker, exact MT5 server name and delivery email. Do not send passwords.
  3. Receive your personal EX5. After eligibility is verified, we compile and send your account-specific file with an English user guide and the supplied presets.

Our top pick: open an HFM MT5 account ↗

Suggested subject: Smart Trend Toolkit — Account Activation

Use your MT5 trading login, not your broker profile ID or MQL5 community ID. Activation is issued manually; the local account lock does not automatically verify referral attribution. The approved login is embedded in the compiled file and cannot be changed through Inputs or presets. A different account requires a separately issued copy. Some builds may also check the broker server.

Installation and first use

  1. Log in to your approved MT5 account.
  2. Select File → Open Data Folder.
  3. Copy SmartTrendToolkit_MT5.ex5 into MQL5 → Indicators.
  4. Refresh Indicators in Navigator, then attach SmartTrendToolkit_MT5 to your chart.
  5. Read the English guide, review the enabled engines and load a supplied preset if desired.

Allow MT5 to download sufficient history. For push notifications, configure your MetaQuotes ID under Tools → Options → Notifications, then enable the indicator’s push input. Optional alerts apply to newly closed candles, not historical arrows present when attaching the indicator.

This independent MT5 indicator supports manual analysis. It does not open, modify or close orders, and it does not provide automatic trade management. Price zones and arrows are analysis references rather than broker orders. It is not compatible with MT4.

Frequently asked questions

Is HFM required?

No. An eligible MT5 account opened through any referral route listed on our broker guide may qualify. HFM is our preferred option.

Should I enable all four engines?

All four are enabled by default, but starting with one supplied preset can help you understand its conditions. More enabled engines do not guarantee better results.

Can one arrow represent several engines?

Yes. Agreeing engines can produce a combined signal on one candle. The panel provides signal-type information.

Does the Volume engine use actual traded volume?

Tick volume is the default. If real volume is requested, it is used only when available throughout the comparison interval; otherwise tick volume is used consistently.

Why does the panel say “No signal” when older arrows are visible?

The panel reports the latest closed candle. It does not search backwards for the most recent historical arrow.

Can I use my file on another account?

No. Request another account-specific file after that account’s eligibility is confirmed. The account lock remains active even when changing presets.

Does it guarantee profitable trades?

No. Signals can fail. No verified profitability or win-rate claim is made. Compilation checks do not establish live chart behavior, successful account authorization or trading performance.

Trading risk: Forex and CFD trading can produce substantial losses. This indicator is a decision-support tool, not a profit guarantee. You remain responsible for entries, position sizing, stops, exits and account monitoring. Review the broker’s terms and your own risk limits before trading.
