Inspect agreement before considering direction
A short-term move can look different on a higher timeframe. MTF Trend Confirm brings those perspectives onto one chart, so you can inspect alignment and weak conditions without switching between charts.
Your current chart timeframe
First higher timeframe, by default
Second higher timeframe, by default
These are the default analysis selections, not current market readings. Higher timeframes are configurable. A selected timeframe shorter than the chart timeframe is raised to the chart timeframe; the dashboard shows the effective selections.
What the indicator includes
- EMA21/55 direction analysis on the chart and two selectable higher timeframes.
- Colored candles for aligned, weak and reversal conditions.
- Buy/sell reversal arrows placed on the bar after confirmation.
- Chart-timeframe ADX14 filtering, with a default minimum of 20.
- Stochastic14/3/3 confirmation with an optional signal filter.
- A dashboard showing direction, ADX, stochastic status and overall alignment.
- An ON/OFF display button and optional popup, mobile push and email alerts.
How to read the candles and arrows
| Display | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Green candle | Upward direction agrees across the enabled timeframes and passes the enabled filters. |
| Red candle | Downward direction agrees across the enabled timeframes and passes the enabled filters. |
| Gray candle | Weak direction, timeframe disagreement or an unmet filter condition. |
| Gold candle | A confirmed reversal from the previous valid direction. |
| Up / down arrow | The new reversal direction, shown on the following bar. |
For reversal detection, the last valid direction is retained across WEAK bars. Returning to that same direction does not create another reversal arrow; switching to the opposite direction does. The first valid direction in the loaded calculation window does not create an arrow.
The arrow is anchored to the following bar’s opening price, offset using the confirmed bar’s ATR. That following bar’s developing high and low do not move the arrow.
Confirmation takes time. Decisions use closed chart bars and higher-timeframe bars already closed at the decision time. The current candle inherits the latest closed-bar direction. Higher-timeframe confirmation introduces a delay. History corrections, changed inputs and calculation-window boundaries can alter historical results.
What the confirmation panel means
By default, EMA direction and slope must agree across the enabled timeframes, while the chart-timeframe ADX must meet the strength threshold. Stochastic is informational unless its filter is enabled.
- CONFIRMED: both stochastic conditions agree with the direction.
- PARTIAL: one condition agrees.
- NOT CONFIRMED: neither agrees, or there is no valid direction.
Upward stochastic confirmation checks %K > %D and %K ≥ 50. Downward confirmation checks %K < %D and %K ≤ 50. Enabling the stochastic filter requires CONFIRMED status.

- Send your activation request. Include MTF Trend Confirm, your MT5 trading account number, broker, exact MT5 server name and delivery email. Do not send passwords.
- Receive your personal EX5. After eligibility is verified, we compile and send your account-specific file with an English user guide.

Suggested subject: MTF Trend Confirm — Account Activation
Use your MT5 trading login, not your broker profile ID or MQL5 community ID. Activation is issued manually; the indicator’s local account lock does not automatically verify referral attribution. The approved login is embedded in the compiled file and cannot be changed through Inputs. A different account requires a separately issued copy. Some builds may also check the broker server.
Installation and first use
- Log in to your approved MT5 account.
- Select File → Open Data Folder.
- Copy MTF_Trend_Confirm.ex5 into MQL5 → Indicators.
- Refresh Indicators in Navigator, then attach MTF Trend Confirm to a standard candlestick chart.
- Read the English guide and review the effective timeframes, filters and notification settings.
If the original candles cover the colored candles, turn off Chart on foreground in the chart properties. Allow history to load for all selected timeframes. Configure push and email in MT5’s Tools → Options before enabling those channels.
This independent MT5 indicator supports manual analysis. It does not open, modify or close orders. This version does not include session boxes, SL/TP lines or a timeframe dropdown; change timeframes through Inputs.
Frequently asked questions
Is HFM required?
No. An eligible MT5 account opened through any referral route listed on our broker guide may qualify. HFM is our preferred option.
Is access free?
There is no indicator purchase fee for approved referral accounts. Brokerage trading costs and any trading losses remain your responsibility.
Can I use the same file on another account?
No. Request another account-specific file after that account’s eligibility is confirmed. If server matching is enabled for your copy, the registered server must also match.
What does the ON/OFF button control?
It controls colored candles, arrows and new notifications. The dashboard and buffer calculations continue while display is OFF. The account lock remains active.
Why are there no arrows?
Check history availability, timeframe agreement and enabled filters. Arrows mark reversals of the previous valid direction, not every aligned candle.
What happens after switching to another account?
An unauthorized account is blocked. Return to the approved account and remove and reattach the indicator if necessary. Contact us if you need a new account-specific copy.
Does it guarantee profitable trades?
No. Signals can fail. No verified profitability or win-rate claim is made. Compilation checks do not establish live chart behavior, successful account authorization or trading performance.
Trading risk: Forex and CFD trading can produce substantial losses. This indicator is a decision-support tool, not a profit guarantee. You remain responsible for entries, position sizing, stops, exits and account monitoring. Review the broker’s terms and your own risk limits before trading.
